With new initiatives constantly being identified, some of the key activities delivering mutual value include:

  • inviting our experts to present to Singtel Optus staff in Singapore and Australia on cybersecurity, cloud computing and data analytics
  • establishing the Optus Macquarie University Cadetship program – an opportunity for our engineering students to work at Optus over the four years of their degree program
  • becoming a founding member of the Macquarie Park Innovation District (MPID)
  • establishing the Optus Macquarie University Cyber Security Hub to conduct research, offer training courses, foster thought leadership and drive recruitment.

“A neighbour within Macquarie Park, Singtel Optus values its business partnership with Macquarie University very highly. Working with the University has been so much more effective since the establishment of the Office of Corporate Engagement, as it brings a single point of focus for interaction across a very large organisation.”

Phil Brady

Initiatives include:

  • developing training programs for hospital executives and nursing managers through Macquarie Business School (MQBS)
  • supporting women undertaking MBA (WiMBA) scholarships

  • conducting research that will directly contribute to Johnson & Johnson’s core business.

“Johnson & Johnson Medical deeply values our relationship with Macquarie University. We work closely with Macquarie on projects that directly add value to our business. This includes access to students as part of our future talent pipeline, as well as customised training programs through Macquarie Business School (MQBS) research projects.”

“The PACE program is a real strategic differentiator for Macquarie Uni. It ensures all students are equipped with occupational work experience. It’s great for our business, because when we go to hire, we know who will be the right fit. On top of that, candidates can hit the ground running, as they’re are already familiar with our culture and processes.”
